MG started Acer Forestry Solutions, LLC to serve clients with agility and focus. With background in development, landscape, recreation management, forestry, and urban forestry, understanding how it all ties together will benefit your results. “I believe that every experience I’ve had adds value to the work product and perspective in each project and my role in it. This company was created to serve people. I may joke that I hug trees for a living, but I’m really doing it for the people more than anything.”

Growing up in Texas, MG experienced much of the state camping, hiking, and hunting. He got here as quickly as he could, before 1 year old! The “Acer” is a play on words, believing AFS will ‘Ace’ the job for the client, but also since ‘Acer’ is the genus of maple trees, a nod to his western Michigan family ties. Some special places to MG include camping at the Guadalupe, skiing at Inks lake, hunting in Pleasanton TX at the ranch of a Texas settler family, running in the piney woods of Nacogdoches, floating between the cypress trees of Caddo lake, and taking family photos at the local to Conroe Jones Forest which stands as a bastion against the concrete jungle.

MG and his wife have their first child on the way in 2025, yet another reason for the full-time launch of Acer Forestry Solutions! We look forward to all that life brings. Cheers!
